INDIGO SHIBORI WORKSHOP

Join in for a fun afternoon of indigo dyeing. Learn the basics of the ancient Japanese dye technique known as Shibori. You will be shown several folded (Itajime Shibori) designs, and some pole wrapped (Arashi Shibori) patterns. Experience the magic of indigo as your pieces turn from green to blue before your eyes. Go home with 2 cotton fat quarters for your quilting and DIY projects. Fabric and dyestuffs included. Class fee, $80.

Open to all levels. No previous dye experience necessary. You may get dye on your clothes, so dress accordingly

We will be using pre-reduced indigo vats with a chemical reduction agent.. Please bring long rubber gloves.
